T is for Taken
There are many different ways to tell if two people are taken with each other.
Maybe they'll use terms like darling or baby or babe or butthead or use their full name with something at the end of it. Sometimes it's not a term at all but the way they say it like the sun and the moon rise over this person's head, like they could never love anyone more than they love this person, like there is unending depths of fondness wrapped around in the words. Maybe they'll use their hands to communicate the words and their eyes have the intense softness and love in their gaze without a sound being uttered.
Sometimes it could be the way someone can tell if the other feels badly simply by looking at them without their saying a word. It's in the way when something terrible or good happens the first person they think to tell is that person, is the one they're taken with.
It can be in the way they bring lunch for one another, wrapped up in baskets. It can be in the way that those who are no good at cooking still try to make food for the other because they want to.
It's in how their fingers fit together like they were made for each other, like they are two pieces fitting perfectly together.
It's the way they are the only ones who are able to reach each other in the darkest and most painful of times. They can hear each other's voice, and it does it. It relaxes them. It comforts them simply by having that other person near.
It's in the way they make sacrifices. It's in how they think of the other person first, always first. It's in the way they sometimes make mistakes and fight like hell about it but still find their way back to each other at the end of the day.
Because that's where they belong, because they're taken.
